Mr. Doyle focuses his practice focus on wireless communication technologies, networking hardware, semiconductor memory devices, microprocessors, semiconductor device manufacture, power systems, image processing, image forming apparatuses, user interfaces, context-aware devices, and computer graphics hardware. He has over 15 years of patent prosecution experience with applications filed in numerous countries including Europe (both through the European Patent Office and in individual countries), Canada, Mexico, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and India. He has advised clients about crafting patent claims, overcoming claim rejections by patent examiners, addressing accusations of infringement, and performing portfolio reviews for acquisition due diligence engagements.Prior to his patent practice, Mr. Doyle worked for a defense contractor and supported three studies to assess means for meeting military needs for: silicon-based analog integrated circuits, advanced electronics packaging, and continued research of the physics of failure of novel electron devices. He began his professional career as a nuclear propulsion plant-trained naval officer and served aboard an aircraft carrier.In addition to his work in patent law, Mr. Doyle is admitted to the United States Tax Court and is a registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
